Dear Women of Temple Isaiah
Exciting News! Isaiah Women, a modern sisterhood, has been established at Temple Isaiah. As we start our journey, we invite you to join us as a member of our new, dynamic and vibrant organization. Our goal is to provide stimulating and educational programming along with interesting and entertaining social activities that will appeal to women of all ages and varied interests. In doing so we hope that we will enrich the lives of our members, contribute to the well being of Temple Isaiah and make an impact on the greater Jewish community.
As Isaiah Women, we already are part of a greater organization, the Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), The Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. Dues for Isaiah Women is $45.00 per year and a small portion of those dues will go to WRJ to support its programs of giving to Hebrew Union College and the Jewish Institute of Religion scholarship funds, which provide scholarships for Rabbinic students, the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), the Jewish Braille Institute of America, and, internationally, the World Union for Progressive Judaism. WRJ also contributes to five Reform pre-schools in Israel and provides books for the library of the Leo Baeck School in Haifa.
Please join us as we come together for friendship and social activities, as we renew and strengthen our connection to our Sacred Community at Temple Isaiah and as we commit to the greater Jewish community. The possibilities are endless and the rewards are great as we discover the potential of ourselves as Jewish women and Isaiah Women.
